First time trying and I want to go back to dine in! We’ve driven past this place so many times and I’ve wanted to give it a try. Wasn’t in the mood to dine in today, so we ordered to go. I got a volcano roll, and shrimp tempura roll. My husband got a cucumber salad and a butterfly roll. It was all very good! The inside of the restaurant was cute (sorry my samurai pic is blurry) and I do love some hibachi, so I will have to go dine in at some point soon. The food was really good, highly recommend, but I’m not sure how their service is because we didn’t dine in, so that’s why I gave 3.8 stars. I’ll update when we do though!
I've had hibachi and sushi in a lot of places. The sushi here was pretty good. Not amazing. But definitely good. The hibachi was a different story. The show was good. Very entertaining. But the food they cooked was more like a byproduct of the show. Without a doubt, the worst hibachi food I've ever had. That's not to say it was bad. It was just really bland. The veggies aren't grilled enough. Just very little flavor. It's a shame too because the staff was great, atmosphere was awesome. Perhaps it was just a bad night. Worth another try for sure.
Love the dark atmosphere, makes a busy place still feel intimate. Our chef was entertaining and the mixed drinks were good. The portions are very large for what you pay for. You won’t leave hungry!
So-so Samurai.
The staff was friendly, polite and very helpful. The restaurant was dark, older and stale and the food warning on the table had me thinking about “The Clash” hit song - “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”
The sushi, salad, and edamame was good, but the presentation was underwhelming.
I stopped here because it was close to my hotel and it was good, just not a place I would likely visit again.
Cheers!
Went here for a family dinner for the first time. The restaurant is in a quiet corner of a busy shopping center so a good end to a day of shopping. I met Jacob who is enthusiastic, local and knows the menu. Our Chef was Mr. Sung and his experience shows. I think a good restaurant is ready to entertain any occasion and when I ordered a whiskey "neat" they didn't have a variety of selection or glasses. Otherwise this was a great dinner out and we're lucky to live close by.
This was a wonderful experience for my kids. My daughter asked to come to celebrate her 18th birthday. I was able to make reservations using Google Assistant which was convenient and nice. They were expecting us when we arrived but we did still have to wait for the rest of the party to come before we could be seated. My daughter was disappointed because they didn't have a birthday cake as advertised BUT they did bring her an orange with a candle and played the birthday song. Our party ended up being 14 people and we were at 2 tables that were joined together. The food was good and the atmosphere was inviting. We will surely return.
Family style service. That sat me and my daughter at a table with another family. We ordered sushi, and the family ordered the hibachi. The gentleman came and prepared their food and the overall experience was pretty cool. The family was very pleasant. It was their first time there as well
I paused to leave a review because of how incredibly impressed I was with Rey as a chef and host. He served the best sukiyaki steak, hibachi steak (blue rare), and hibachi shrimp dishes!
We haven’t been here in easily over ten years and Rey absolutely floored us with the food and hibachi tricks. I can’t wait to come back!
